The nightless night..

Mid Summer. The brightest time of the year. Sun is rising at 3am and goes down after 11pm, but no, there will not be dark at any point. I have to learn use those eyecovers (or whatever they are called), I'm so old that I can't get any sleep and woke up in about 56 times per night looking like a zombie in the morning! A lady needs to have her beauty sleep! My eyecover says it all: Ask daddy. And that is a clear message for kids not to disturb mommy in the morning, but they know it already that I'm not a morning person. And they respect my wish, or are just scaring that awfull morning creature..

This is the time to make mid summer magic. Ot's my daughter's turn, as I'm spoken for a many years now. There have to be seven different flowers and they need to be set under the pillow. And the love of your life will appear to you in a dream!

The is also the only time of the year when you can put the flag at 6pm and take it of at the next day at 9pm away.

Bye bye blouse..

As much I did (well, still do) love this blouse, I had to get rid of it. It was so fuzzy and I don't know the correct English word for it, but if there were anything black even near to it, it was not black anymore, it was full of my blouse's "hair". It was made of mohair or something like that, and apparently I did something wrong when I washed it, I'm so sad.

Yesterday's bun

May I proudly present my first ever ballerina bun!

I was a bit sceptic about my skills but it turn out to be ok for a beginner at least. A few runaway hairs, but who cares! I was at a Christening party on Sunday, so that is why I wanted to try something different and smooth for a change.

What is the time...

This electric alarm clock was something that I didn't have to wonder a long time will I buy it or not. Decision was an instant yes. It has a red light inside of it so it is also possible to see the time in the middle of the night! But now as it is the summer time, I will not believe on that clock's time, thunderstorms and power failures are pretty common here in this time of year. That means this clock is now only showing time, and is not allowed to wake up us in the mornings.

Some blue and navy..

Today I am proud of myself. This old sweater begun to feel a bit boring, so I did a little magic to it and I'm quit happy about the result. Small changes but big difference. What do you think?

Red relaxing chair...

Pictures are from the other part of our livingroom, that one with no TV. All the reds and the greens will come more alive as the summer will bring more and more of that lovely green color in the background. I usually sit in that red chair reading blogs and watching outside and thinking about life. That is my relaxing place no. 1.

As you can see, I am finally started to make the liquer cabinet I was earlier telling about. Glasses are there but the liquer isn't.. yet!

This is actually so called adoults area, kids can enjoy themselves playing and watching TV in the other section of the livingroom (picture can be found from here)

Also made a find for Little Liisa's (Alice in English that is) house, a kitchen table. That is an original Lundby from the 60's. This dollhouse is shown at that link above.

Better Vision for Better Living!

Have to show you these beauties, my new glasses!
It's been over two years since I last bought glasses, still those are in ok condition, but because they are black they are loosing the shine and sadly becoming more grayer. But I must say, I'm happy that I found these new ones!
