Here in Finland isn't much sunlight after 4:00 pm, the winter days feels sooo short, but luckily we are enjoying snowy landscapes so it makes the days look a little brighter. (Btw, it's snowing right now! Me likey!)

The mirror is from the 40s and it's hand made. It's not that high from the ground, I'm just short.

Radio

This is the newest member in our household, it's a radio with a record player. It's now off use but we think it's possible to make it work again.

Wish

We think there's one thing missing from our house.

It could be this one...

Ancient Easter Find

This picture is pretty old (as far as last Easter), I found this old paper holder back then. It got two hooks in it so you can hang it wherever you like. It was a bit problem where I could hang it. In this picture it's hanging on the edge of the table. Well, it wasn't that good place and now it's hanging on the other paper holder (that one under the table).

The Pure Jenkki and The Film Stars

I bought this pretty thing this summer. I don't know what it's purpose should be but I found just the right one for my needs.

Now I have a decent place where I can show off my old Jenkki chewing gum collection cards!

Mostly working and houseworking

It's been a while since I have updated my blog. I enjoyed my summer with my family and now I'm back in worklife again. I stayd at home with my kids the last 2 years and 7 months. I have so much photos waiting to be bublished!

Birds and Napkins

I did some great finds couple of weeks ago. The old (full) box of Finnish Home napkins. Napkins are light pink and that box is so pretty light blue. And that lovely bird tin. I think someone has use it as a cookie jar, but I washed it and that awful cookie smell is now gone!

The peasant Rococo bedside table is old Finnish handicraft from fifties. I'm not so sure about that lamp, It's old and pretty, that's all I know...

I love my old Finnish Arabia tablewears. And this post is all about saucers and plates.

Celebration

Today we went to my brother Rafael's Christening party. Our age difference is over 28 years, I feel sooo old... But some times I feel like I haven't still grown up to be that old, I sure ain't adult, yet, I think...

This is me today, pretty pretty!

Our Cadillac is now registered, and we've been driving it the whole weekend. How much do I love it? A lot!

It TICKLES and TANTALIZES!

I found this beautiful and old matchbox label and had no other choice than buy it! I'm such a collector.. The headline quote is from the movie The Seven Years Itch, one of my all time favorite movie.

This journal rack is also one of my latest founds, now I can organize all of my old women's magazines! I have no idea how old it is but I think it's pretty old.. These magazines are from the 40s' and 50s' and in Finnish. You can see there's a one old newspaper, Walwoja (Guardian), it's been published on Tuesday, March 2, 1948 in Calumet Michigan. It's in Finnish but made in USA.

Winter time

I love our new fireplace, it warms our house and our minds too. I could just sit and watch the fire..

Our son loves dinosaurs and what would be better idea than build a snow triceratops..

I made some excellent and tasty white chocolate brownies, yam..

And we had a special guests in our New Year party (well, on DVD actually..)

This was the first time I did this hairdo.

And it turn out to be pretty nice! This hairdo is very easy and fast to make but I wasn't going to take any photos of my hair that time because it's a bit messy.. well, our little secret photographer struck and the hairdo (and I) didn't look so bad at all!

This time I got a whole lotta pictures to post. I haven't update my blog so often as I wish, hope that will change soon as I'll have all my long lost energy back as the spring is approaching!
